Danielle van Dalen

Danielle van Dalen is the founder of reformed pilates studio in Paarl, where she brings a wealth of experience and passion of transforming lives through movement. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in human movement science and physiology, giving her a deeper understanding of how the body functions and moves.

I’m Danielle van Dalen, founder and lead instructor of ReformeD Pilates Studio in Paarl. I’m passionate about helping people build strong foundations, physically and mentally, through intentional, effective movement. My approach focuses on alignment, strength, and sustainable progress, creating a welcoming space where everyone feels supported, challenged, and empowered in their journey toward better health.

At ReformeD Pilates Studio, I offer private, semi-private and small-group Reformer, Mat Pilates, and fascia release classes designed to help people of all ages and fitness levels move better, feel stronger, and build lasting confidence. With a maximum of six clients per class, every session is personalised, supportive, and focused on proper technique and real results. I also offer private sessions tailored to individual goals, whether that’s rehabilitation, strength building, toning, or simply moving without pain. I also offer online options. 

Reformed is more than a pilates studio. it is refined movement space grounded in research, precision, and intentional training.

Blending Stott Pilates, functional movement, and fascia-focused work, our classes are intelligently designed to support strength, posture, mobility, and long-term wellbeing. With small class sizes and expert instruction, every session is tailored, purposeful and results-driven.

    Chiropractor, Homeopath and Yoga teacher. She has a keen interest in the therapeutic benefits of movement and gentle preventative  care on health and wellbeing. Nicky brings together her love of therapeutic movement,  rehabilitation of aberrant movement patterns and posture and holistic therapies in the  practice and facilitation of her work. Nicky has a wealth of experience in bodywork and  complementary health modalities.   Nicky has a patient-oriented approach with individual well-being as a priority. She  draws from a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including Chiropractic adjustment  techniques, soft tissue manual therapies, dry needling and strapping, and incorporates  individualised movement rehabilitation and both passive and active myofascial release  techniques into her practice.   Nicky is a yoga teacher with 20 years of experience teaching Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and  Astanga yoga. Her teaching has a strong anatomical and physiological approach  grounded in a deep understanding of the philosophy and energetic subtleties of yoga.  Nickys’ hope is that, as yoga has done for her, her teaching will bring freedom of body  and mind to others. She has made it her purpose to teach intelligent movement,  breathwork and the extraordinary therapeutic yogic tools of the ancient practice so that  we may all experience yoga’s profound benefits.
