Perched on the banks of the Olifants River in a private reserve within the Greater Kruger, Sashwa blends a luxury safari lodge with holistic wellness. Every stay is designed to nourish the body, calm the mind, and awaken the spirit — surrounded by the raw beauty of the African wilderness.

Location: Private game reserve, Greater Kruger National Park, Hoedspruit, Limpopo (roughly 1h15 by road from Eastgate International Airport)

What’s on Offer

Safari — Daily game drives on a private reserve with regular Big 5 sightings
Wellness — Daily hatha and vinyasa yoga, meditation, yoga nidra and breathwork, led by South African teachers
Nature Immersion — Guided wilderness walks and time in the on-site relaxation/wildlife-watching hide
Dining — Plant-based fine dining sourced from Sashwa’s own organic permaculture garden, served three times daily
Restoration — Gym, sauna, and massage/spa treatments alongside the wellness programme
Stay — 7 individually designed luxury suites (riverfront, garden, and rondawel styles), all fenced for a tranquil, secure safari experience

Rates

Priced per person sharing, per night — 2-night minimum stay
Single supplement: ZAR 1,500/night (waived for Standard Suites)
Includes 3 meals daily, beverages (incl. Painted Wolf conservation wines), snacks, and use of wellness/meditation spaces
Current rate card valid 1 Nov 2024 – 31 Dec 2026, and 1 Jan 2027 – 31 Jul 2028

Sashwa also hosts a rotating calendar of themed retreats (leadership, indigenous tracking, birding, and more) throughout the year, alongside offering the venue for external retreat hosts.
