Sashwa offers peaceful, nature-integrated accommodation with a maximum capacity of 16 guests, providing an intimate and restorative retreat experience. Guests can choose from spacious en-suite riverfront rooms or traditional thatched chalets, each designed to blend with the natural surroundings and offer calming views. The retreat features a range of facilities to support relaxation and wellbeing, including a fully equipped indoor gym, an infrared sauna, a salt-water swimming pool, and inviting indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. Creativity is nurtured in the art studio, while the spa treatment room offers massages and holistic therapies. Complementing these are dedicated yoga and meditation studios, both indoors and on the riverbank deck, along with communal dining and lounge spaces that overlook the river, creating a harmonious environment for rest and rejuvenation.
The yoga and safari retreat at Sashwa offers a unique blend of mindful movement and immersive wilderness adventure. Each day begins with gentle, grounding yoga sessions on the riverbank deck, designed to awaken the body and calm the mind. Mission House Accommodation
This beautiful home is situated on a ridge with breathtaking 360* views of the Drakensberg Mountains and rolling hills of the midlands; a short distance from the N3, but set back from the road so it is peaceful and quiet. We are just 2km from some of the best MTB and running trails in the country, and perfectly located for the abundance of great restaurants, coffee shops and activities in the area for both adults and children.
An ideal spot to retreat with family and friends, or get active.
Accomodation Information
The house is light, spacious and airy, and comfortably furnished with modern conveniences. The kitchen is fully equipped , including a Nespresso coffee machine. Also, a laundry with washing machine and dryer.
There is a Weber for barbecuing, Dstv and Wifi, and an open log fireplace in the lounge with some firewood provided. There is underfloor heating in some of the rooms, and electric blankets on the beds for chilly nights.
About the Accomodation
Upstairs:
Bedroom 1 – King bed with en suite bathroom, (plus chaise lounge, suitable for a child)
Bedroom 2 – King bed.
Bedroom 3 – 4 x Single beds.
Separate bathroom.
Downstairs:
Bedroom 4 – 4 x Single beds, plus fold out sofa bed that sleeps 2, with en suite shower room.
We have recently had stair rails installed, and we have stair gates that can be attached, should they be needed for littlies.
One thing to note is the upstairs windows are close to the floor so not suitable for small children to be left on their own.
There is a solar heated, salt water pool in the front garden, with a strong solid cover for protection.
In front of the garden is a large concrete slab which can be used for games, skateboarding, roller skating, etc.
